From the Rose to the Crown – Schedule

With just under a week to go until the start of our Knight’s quest, we’re now in a position to publish the (almost) complete schedule of his journey.

Remember, there will be a map on the site showing Colin’s position live as he completes his chalenge. Please keep an eye on it & come out and support him en route.

  • Saturday 23rd of April 11am –

Colin & his merry band will be visiting a number of Worthing pubs, and raising a glass or two in each, before marching to the street party at the Rose and Crown in Montague Street. Colin will depart carrying a single rose late in the afternoon, walking out of Worthing via a few more pubs. He’ll stop at the Offington Roundabout.

  • Sunday 24th April

Picking up where he left off Colin will walk up the A24; through Findon, Washington & Ashington. He aims to arrive at the The Crown, Dial Post early to mid afternoon. He’ll stay here over night. Please come along to support him

  • Monday 25th April

Colin will wave goodbye to the crown and head along the Shipley road. He’ll walk through Southwater (probably taking in a couple of the hostelries)  and then through Horsham (Worthing Road, North Parade, Pondtail Lane). From there it’s a hop skip and a jump across the Horsham bypass and on to Taylors Farm Retreat just outside Capel where colin will spend the night.

  • Tuesday 26th April

Contining north up (probably sticking to the back roads through Capel & Beare Green) He’ll pass through Dorking, then Up the A24 to The Running Horses at Mickleham, where he’ll collapse in to a heap.

  • Wednesday 27th of April

After a well earned rest our brave (some might say questionably sane) knight will continue to Leatherhead and then turn east, head under the M25 & in to greater London (Hurrah!).

  • Thursday 28th of April

The end is almost in sight! Colin will walk the last few miles to Buckingham palace before resting at his hotel.

  • Friday 29th of April – The Royal Wedding

Colin will be up before the lark to stake his place at the side of the road, as the Royal Couple pass by he’ll cast his rose in front of their carriage.
    Mission accomplished!
